In conversations with potential customers, we’re hearing about two- and three-day waits that have become part of their normal supply routine. It’s something we’re noticing at Highbar, and it makes a confirmed next-day arrival feel like a bigger difference than it used to.
At Highbar, we continue to offer free next-business-day delivery on in-stock items, with no minimum order, on our covered Memphis-area truck routes. Confirm the product, your location and the order timing with us so you know the actual delivery date.
If the products you need are in stock and the next-business-day timing is confirmed, you can plan when to receive them and where they need to go. That matters for the ordinary orders: copy paper, restroom tissue, can liners and the supplies people expect to find without asking.
An item being listed in a catalog does not tell you whether it is in stock for your order. A shipping date also leaves a different question unanswered: when will it arrive at your building? Ask for the arrival date and whether it covers the full quantity you need.
If an item is unavailable, settle that before it becomes a surprise. Ask when it can arrive and whether an acceptable substitute is available. Any replacement still needs to fit the job, equipment and purchasing rules you have already agreed on.
Our regular trucks serve Memphis and the surrounding area in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas, generally within about 45 miles of our Memphis distribution centers. That includes communities such as Germantown, Collierville, Southaven, Olive Branch, West Memphis and Marion. Your specific address still needs to be on a covered route.
Our drivers bring orders inside and put the products where you want them. Tell us about receiving hours, access instructions or a supply room that is somewhere other than the front desk. Those details belong with the order.
The current Highbar delivery page explains the service area and delivery options. For a time-sensitive order, have your rep confirm the stock, applicable cutoff and calendar delivery date. “Next business day” should not be read as a promise of delivery on a weekend or holiday.
Sometimes tomorrow is too late. Highbar also offers same-day delivery by arrangement for in-stock items within 45 minutes of our Memphis warehouse. Order by noon and let your Highbar rep know you need that service. A same-day delivery charge covers the courier fee.
That noon requirement is for the same-day service. Check the timing for your next-day order directly rather than assuming the same cutoff applies to both.
For routine purchasing, our point is simple: we want the next-business-day service we offer to remain useful to your business. You should be able to ask a person what is available and when it will arrive, then plan the order around that answer.
